Santa Clara City Culinary Water System
Santa Clara has 2,713.00 Ac/ft of culinary water rights. Santa Clara's culinary water comes from Snow Canyon and Quail Creek Reservoir. Santa Clara has a 24.7% share in the Snow Canyon Compact wells (Wells #2, 3, 3a, 4 and 5) and 100% of wells 6 & 7. The total Source capacity for the City is 2,535.3 gpm. Over the past three years Santa Clara's total water usage has been 476 million gallons per year. The average residential usage per connection is 683 gallons per day.
This year Santa Clara has transferred Gubler Park and the Cemetery over to the secondary water system. This is reducing the culinary usage by 7 million gallons per year. Santa Clara will also be transferring the Santa Clara Park on Red Mountain to the secondary system. Santa Clara has 4 water tanks of storage capacity of 4,100,000 gallons. Santa Clara would ask all residents to conserve on water usage where ever possible. As seasons change, please adjust your sprinkler timers. This will save you money and will conserve on water for the future. |
