ORDINANCE NO. 2015-21
AN ORDINANCE TO RATIFY PRIOR APPROVAL OF A BOUNDARY ADJUSTMENT AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on March 25, 2015, the Santa Clara City Council adopted resolution 2015-05R declaring its intention to consider a municipal boundary adjustment annexing property from St. George City into Santa Clara City, and
WHEREAS, following adoption of the resolution, the City Council held a public hearing on June 24, 2015, being not less than sixty (60) days following adoption of the resolution, and
WHEREAS, on June 24, 2015, having taken comments from the public, and having received no written protest to the adjustment from any owner of private real property located within the area proposed for adjustment, the City Council voted to approve the boundary adjustment, and
WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to ratify that prior approval with the adoption of this ordinance, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Santa Clara, Utah, as follows:
Section 1. Action:
Action to ratify prior approval of a boundary adjustment to transfer six (6) acres from St. George City to the City of Santa Clara. (Property owner Kent Frei)
Section 2. Update of Official Map:
The Official Map of the City is hereby amended to reflect the adoption of this Ordinance.
Section 3. Effective Date:
The effective date of this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon adoption and posting in the manner required by law.
ADOPTED and approved by a duly constituted quorum of the City Council of the City of Santa Clara, Utah, this 9th day of December, 2015.
