SANTA CLARA CITY
ORDINANCE NO. 2017-12
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY OF SANTA CLARA ZONING MAP BY REZONING 1.0 ACRE OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2600 SANTA CLARA DRIVE, SANTA CLARA UTAH FROM R-1-10 TO HISTORIC DISTRICT/MIXED USE ZONE.
Section 1.
WHEREAS, Santa Clara City is requesting a zone change from R-1-10 to Historic District/Mixed Use Zone to allow for construction of new restroom building near the side property line, and
WHEREAS, the property presently has a vacant single family home on the lot and a large grass area in front of the home, and
WHEREAS, the property is currently owned by City and is located across from City Office Building and the property is located within the Historic District, and
WHEREAS, the City is creating a public park on this property and a restroom is desired for public use, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission during their regular meeting held on 6-20-17 recommended approval to City Council the proposed Zoning Map amendment, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Santa Clara City Council, State of Utah as follows:
Section2 Classification
This ordinance amends the official zoning map of the City of Santa Clara, Utah.
Section 3 General Provisions
The official zoning map of the City of Santa Clara, Utah is hereby amended to change the following described property from R-1-10 to Historic District / Mixed Use Zone. (see attached Legal Description & map)
Section 4 Effective Date
This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon adoption, recording and posting in the manner required by law.
ADOPTED and approved by a duly constituted quorum of the Santa Clara City Council this 28th day of June 2017.
